This pot is an interesting historical document. It is made in the shape of traditional royal Nyoro milk pots. The surface however is not burnished to a fine sheen as seen on older examples. The black surface coating has been scratched through and filled with an ivory-coloured slip or paint. It is dated 2-7-1937.
