Kimono

The bamboo in this kimono stands on its own with no other floral motifs. The large leaves bend gracefully into the design creating a diagonal flow. The bamboo is drawn with a delicate realism, the leaves are shaded in a gentle gray-lavender. The bamboo design has a sense of movement unlike the previous example where the bamboo has become a graphic flat design. Once again a band of hand-tied weft brightens the design.
