Kimono

The surface is covered with the undulating flow of a stream, ryusui, vigorously flowing the length of the fabric (or, if you prefer, the reflection of light on water). The design is alternating sinuous lines of yellow and red edged in white accentuating the movement of the flowing water. Ryusi is a classic Japanese design motif transformed by the large scale and imaginative coloring.
