The large, intensely coloured bamboo leaves and camellias fill the field. The camellia blossoms are highlighted by a band of hand-tied wefts, the petals alternating between a kanoko shibori pattern and a basketwork pattern. Note the long sleeves typical of pre-Second World War pieces.
