Wooden Throwing Club

This fine old wooden scythe-shaped throwing club has surely been made to have its pronounced birdlike appearance. It is embellished with carved markings on only one side (as shown). It has clearly been used over time and has a good patina. Later examples are much less birdlike and without markings.
