Rattle Depicting Crocodile Incident

This gourd has very energetic carving. The vertical bands of decoration encircling the gourd all contain different geometric motifs. One vertical panel has the figure of a crocodile with two human figures; one cannot help wondering whether it records a particular incident that took place.
