Voluminous embroidered robes with colourful embroidery were, and are, worn by nobles, elders, and others of high-rank or wealth in the Grasslands. They are worn for ceremonies, festivals and other special occasions where both men and women dress in their finest garb to dance, promenade and generally strut their stuff. This fine older example is hand embroidered with the royal double gong motif encircling the costume.
