Woven with an open work area on the base, this basket was used as a sieve, probably for manioc flour. The lid terminates in a piece of bamboo that is split into fine sections and forms the core of the lid around which fine fiber is woven, forming the lid. These baskets always rest on a basketry ring that is attached to the bottom with fiber.
