This basket is a variant of the Inkangara y-inganogano basket that is made in the south. It is woven in two layers with the outer layer worked vertically with geometric patterns in a manner very similar to the large screens. The lid terminates in a piece of bamboo that is split into fine sections and forms the core of the lid around which fine fiber is woven, forming the lid. These baskets always rest on a basketry ring that is attached to the bottom with fiber. Used for storage of small items and as a prestige object.
